Example #1 – Composite Fraction Type

The Fraction number are given 4 / 5, 7 / 9, 19 / 29, 4 / 7 and arranged this fraction in ascending order of magnitude?
Answer:

  1. At first we need to convert always fraction numbers so, converting each an every into decimal form, we get
  2. 4 / 5 = 0.80, 7 / 9 = 0.77, 19 / 29 = 0.65, 4 / 7 = 0.57.
  3. Now, arrange this number in ascending order like 0.57 > 0.65 >0.77>0.8 and 4 / 7>19 / 29>7 / 9>4 / 5.

Example #2 – Composite Fraction Type

The Fraction number are given 7 / 9, 13 / 17, 9 / 10, 16 / 19 arrange this fraction number into descending order form?
Answer:
So this fraction numbers we convert as well as previous process but we arrange it in descending order.
So

  1. 7 / 9= 0.770, 13 / 17 = 0.764, 9 / 10 = 0.900, 16 / 19 = 0.842
  2. Arranged it descending order 0.900>0.842>0.770>0.764
  3. 9 / 10 > 16 / 19 > 7 / 9 > 13 / 17

Example #3 – Composite Fraction Type

What is original fraction ? If a fraction number of numerator is increased by 300% and the denominator increased by 500%, and the resultant fraction is 9 / 20.
Answer :
let consider numerator is x and denominator is y.
So x numerator increased according with 300% ,and y denominator increased by 500%.
X x 300 / 100 = 3x
Y x 500 / 100 = 5y
3x / 5y = 20 / 9
4x = 3y
x / y = 3 / 4
So the original fraction should be 3 / 4.
