Example 1: Rakesh started a buisness investing with Rs.7000/- after six month Mukesh joined with him Rs.6000. Find the profit ratio they earn at end of year.
Answer : Shortcut :
7000 x 12 : 6000 x 6
84000 : 36000
7 : 3

 

 

Example 2: Rahim invest money into a new business Rs. 7000/- After eight months Ram joined him with Rs. 9000. What should be profit they earn and distributed at the end of the year ?
Answer : 7000 x 12 : 9000 x 4 = 84000 : 36000 = 7 : 3

 

 

Example 3: A and B started a buisness with partnership. A joined Rs.6000. How much amount would B invest so that profit after one year be divided in the ratio of 2 : 3 ?
Answer : 6000 x 12 / X x 12 = 2 / 3
24X = 216000
X = 9000

 

 

Example 4: Suresh started a buisness and he invest in it Rs.45,000. After 4 month Naren joined him with capital of Rs. 75,000. End of the year they gained profit was Rs.47500, Find the Suresh share of profit ?
Answer : Share of profit ratio = Suresh : Naren

= 45,000 x 12 : 75,000 x 8

= 54,0000 : 60,0000

= 9 : 10
Share of profit of Suresh is 47,500 x 9 / 19 = 22,500.

 

 

Example 5: Goutam started a retail shop with Rs. 6000, After four months Naren joined and invested Rs. 4000. End of the year they gained Rs. 2400, Find the share of profit of Naren was.
Answer : 6000 x 12 : 4000 x 8 = 72000 : 32000 = 72 : 32 = 9 : 4
Share of Naren is = 2400 x 4 / 13 = 738.4 approx.

 

 

Example 6:
Anil, Bimal, chandan started a buisness and a partnership, Anil initially invest Rs. 20 lakhs and added Rs.15 lakhs after one year. Bimal initially invest Rs.45 and than withdrawn Rs.15 lakhs after 2 years and Chandan invest Rs. 35 lakhs. What would be the ratio of profit at the end of 3 years ?
Answer : ( 20 x 1 ) + ( 35 x 2 ) : ( 45 x 2 ) + ( 30 x 1 ) : ( 35 x 3 )
= 90 : 120 : 105 = 6 : 8 : 7

 

 

Example 7: A, B and C took a car for Rs. 780 and used it for 7, 9 and 8 hours respectively. What is the charges paid by by C ?
Answer : A : B : C = ( 7 : 9 : 8 )
780 x 8 / 24 = 6240 / 24 = 260.

 

 

Example 8:  kabir and prabir start a hotel business in partnership. kabir Rs,6000 invest in it. After 1 years what amount prabir invest that there profit margin would be in the ratio of 3:5?
Answer : 6000 x 12 / X x 12 = 3 / 5
3x = 30,000
x = 10,000.

 

 

Example 9: Pranav, Anil, Suresh Started business Rs. 50,000, Pranav initial invest Rs 4000 more than Anil and Anil invest Rs. 5000 more than Suresh. Out of a total profit is Rs. 35,000, Find the Profit of Anil.
Answer : Let Suresh = X
Then Anil = X + 5000 and
Pranav = X + 5000 + 4000 = X + 9000
So, X + X + 5000 + X + 9000 = 50,000
3X + 14,000 = 50,000
3X = 36,000
X = 12,000
Pranav : Anil : Suresh = 21000 : 17000 : 12000 = 21 : 17 : 12
So, Anil profit is = 35,000 x 17 / 50 = 11,900.

 

 

Example 10: Anil, Mukesh and Ritesh started a business by investing Rs. 125000 Rs. 150000 and Rs.175000 respectively. Find the share of each, out of an annual profit of Rs. 93,600.
Answer : Ration of share Anil, Mukesh and Ritesh = Ratio of their investment
Anil  :  Mukesh  : Ritesh = 125000 : 150000 : 175000 = 5 : 6 : 7
Anil share = Rs. [93600 x 5 / 18 ] = 26000.
Mukesh share = Rs. [93600 x 6 / 18 ] = 31200.
Ritesh share = Rs. [93600 x 7 / 18 ] = 36400.

 

 

Example 11:
Samir started a software business by investing Rs. 40,000. After six months, Nitish Joined him with a capital of Rs. 60,000. After 3 years, they earned a profit of Rs . 27,900. What was Samir’s share in the profit ?
Answer :
Short tricks :   Samir : Nitish  share of capital
= ( 40,000 x 36 ) : ( 60,000 x 30 ) =  1440000 : 1800000 = 4 : 5 .
Samir’s  share is =  Rs . 27900 x 4 / 9 = Rs. 12400.

 

 

Example 12:
Jon  and Harry started a partnership business investing some amount of money in the ratio of 2 : 3 . Ron joined them after six months with an amount equal to that of Harry . In what proportion should the profit at the end of one year be distributed among Jon , Harry and Ron ?
Answer :
Short tricks :
Let  the initial investment money ratio of Jon and Harry is 2x and 3x
So Jon , Harry and Ron ratio of investment is ( Jon : Harry : Ron ) = (2x X 12 ) : ( 3x X 12 ) : ( 3x X 6 ) = 24 : 36 : 18 = 4 : 6 : 3 .

    Q :- A,b and C togather invested Rs 50000 in a business .But A invested Rs 400 more then B and B invested Rs 5000 more then C.Out of total profit of Rs 35000, what will be the share of A ?

      samir invest 40,000 and 1 year = 12 month we know so, 3 years means 12(month) x 3 = 36 month
      that’s why samir money which is investing in business 3 years so, 40,000 x 36 = 1440000, similarly after six month nitish joined and invest money his money is investing in business 30 month So, 60,000 x 30 = 1800000 ,

    In Ex-5 9:4, if we add 9+4=13, then how u get 12.
    same type of ex-9 – 21:17:12, if we add it get 50.

      suresh 45,000 invest for 12 month and Naren invest after 4 month, So Naren money invest for 8 month
      = 45,000 x 12 : 75,000 x 8
      = 54,0000 : 60,0000
      = 9 : 10
      Note : 9 + 10 = 19
      9 / 19
      9 is part of suresh
      Share of profit of Suresh is 47,500 x 9 / 19 = 22500.
