How to Solve
We consider Cost Price of the cow is Rs.X
Then, Cost Price of the Carriage Rs. ( 3500 – X )
So,
15% of X – 10% of ( 3500 – X ) = 2% of 3500
( 15X / 100 ) – 10( 3500 – X ) / 100 = 2 x 3500 / 100
( 3X / 20 ) – ( 3500 – X ) / 10 = 70
5X – 7000 = 1400
5X = 1400 + 7000
X = 8400 / 5
X = 1680.
