4 boys can complete a piece of work in 16 days. While 8 girls take 12 days to complete that work. How many days will 4 boys and 6 girls together take to complete the work?

1. 8 Days
2. 10 Days
3. 13 Days
4. 16 Days

Required time for 6 girls to complete the work
8 x 12 = 6 x ?
? = 16 days.

4 boys complete the work in 16 days
So, 4 boys one day work is 1 / 16.

6 girls complete the work in 16 days
So, 6 girls one day work is 1 / 16.

So, time required by 4 boys an 6 girls to complete that work is
= (1 / 16) + (1 / 16)
= 8 days.

A women can do a job in 10 days. Her mother do it in 12 days and her son complete it in 15 days. How long it takes to complete if they work together?

2. 4 Days

Women’s 1 day work = 1 / 10
Mother’s 1 day work = 1 / 12
Son’s 1 day work = 1 / 15

So, time required to do the job if they work together is
(1 / 10) + (1 / 12) + (1 / 15)
= 15 / 60
= 1 / 4

So, it takes to complete the work together is 4 days.

Rahul can complete a job in 16 days and Manish can complete the equal job in 18 days. For some reason Manish work for 9 days and left the job. Now in how many days Rahul can complete the remaining job?

2. 6 Days

Manish’s work in 9 days is ( 1 / 18 X 9 ) = 1 / 2.
So, remaining work is ( 1 – 1 / 2 ) = 1 / 2.

Now, Rahul complete the remaining work in (1 / 16) X 2
= 1 / 8
= 8 days.

6 women alone can complete a piece of work in 10 days. Whereas 10 children alone take 15 days to complete the same piece of work. How many days will 6 women and 10 children together take to complete the work?

2. 6 Days
3. 8 Days

6 women do that work in 10 days and 10 children done it in 15 days.
1 day’s work of 6 women is 1 / 10
1 day’s work of 10 children is 1 / 15

So, together they will do in 1 day is
= (1 / 10) + (1 / 15)
= 5 / 30
= 1 / 6

So, 6 women and 10 children together will complete the work in 6 days.

15 men can do a piece of work in 40 days. Then in how many days can 10 men complete double of the work?

10 men can do the same work in
15 x 40 = 10 x ?
? = (15 x 40) / 10
? = 60

So, to do double the work, 10 men will require 60 x 2 = 120 days.

Three person Amit, Bikash and Chandan complete a work in 40 minutes. Amit and Bikash can complete the same work in 60 minutes. Find the time required for Chandan alone to complete that work?

1. 120 Minutes
2. 130 Minutes

Amit + Bikash + Chandan 1 day work = 1 / 40
Amit + Bikash 1 day work = 1 / 60

So, time required for Chandan alone is
(1 / 40) – (1 / 60)

So, Chandan alone can complete that work in 120 minutes.

But here asking half work so, 735
Therefore,
