Problem on Numbers

Problem on Numbers :
This chapter is based on Numbers and the question are given in the form of a set of Numbers and are in the form of a puzzle form. we just need to examine the given condition, and assume the unknown numbers and form equations accordingly,So Here is some Problems based on Numbers.which provides you for better practice.

Problem on Numbers :
Example 1:
Find a Number which is a Number is as much as greater than 46 as is less than 76.
Answer :
Step 1: Let the Number we assume be x, Then,
x - 46 = 76 - x
Step 2: 2x = 76 + 46
x = 122 / 2
x = 61
So the required number is 61.

Example 2:
The difference between a number and its three-fifth is 60. What is the Number ?
Answer :
Step 1: Let the number be x,Then x - 3x /5 = 60.
Step 2: 2 x/ 5 = 60
x = 60 x 5 / 2 = 150.

Example 3:
If a and b are odd numbers, then which of the is following is even?
Answer:
The Sum of two odd number is even, So a + b is even.

Example 4:
What is smallest prime number?
Answer: 2 is a smallest prime number.

Example 5:
What is the sum of first of five prime numbers?
Answer :
(2+3+5+7+11)=28.

Example 6:
What is the smallest 3 digit prime number ?
Answer:
the smallest 3 digit prime number is 100,which is divisible by 2.
100 is not a prime number,
Because, √101<11 an 101 is not divisible by any other prime number.
So, 2, 3,5, 7, 11
So, 101 is a prime number.
